Shakespeare lived in this house.  He was born on April 23rd 1564 in Stratford-Upon-Avon, Warwickshire, EnglandShakespeare had 3 brother and 4 sisters.  His 4 sisters were called Joan, Margaret, another Joan and Anne.  Shakespeare’s 3 brothers were called Gilbert, Richard and Edmund.  Some of his brothers and sister didn’t live for long.  His parents were called John Shakespeare and Mary Arden.  John and Mary's first born child Joan only survived for two months.  The cause of her death was believed to be the Bubonic Plague.  The Bubonic Plague was also believed to cause Joan and Mary's second daughter, Margaret to die.  Shakespeare was lucky enough to survive his childhood unlike his two sisters who passed away.  Gilbert, Shakespeare's first brother was never married.  His first younger sister was born after Gilbert.  She was married to a man and had 4 children but only two of them survived.  Anne Shakespeare also died of the Bubonic Plague when she was 8 years old.  She was known to have an expensive burial even though their family was going through financial crisis.  When Richard was born, Shakespeare's family was poor so Richard was never properly educated.  He didn't get married and was said that he lived in Stratford-Upon-Avon to help out with the family business.Shakespeare married Anne Hathaway who was 26 when he was only 18 on November 27th 1582.  Although he had a family back in Warwickshire, Shakespeare spent most of his life in London.  The three professions he was famous for were Playwright, Actor and Theatre Administrator.  Shakespeare died on April 23rd 1616.  He was 52 years old when he died.
