Unlike other plays, Shakespeare’s plays were written in Early Modern English.  It wasn’t hard for the actors to speak in Early Modern English because during that time, people still used Early Modern English.  Shakespeare’s quotes are:

“To be or not to be: that is the question.” –Hamlet

“The course of true love never did run smooth.” –A Midsummer Night’s Dream

“Love looks not with the eyes, but with the mind, and therefore is winged Cupid painted blind.” –A Midsummer Night’s Dream

Some of Shakespeare’s plays included words that he shortened himself or have different meanings from today.  For example ‘Happily’ means joyful; but in Shakespeare’s meaning, it means accidentally.  Shakespeare used 31534 words.
